{"id":124927,"date":"2021-12-10T17:50:12","date_gmt":"2021-12-10T22:50:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/?p=124927"},"modified":"2023-11-27T15:31:19","modified_gmt":"2023-11-27T20:31:19","slug":"ucf-medical-faculty-physicians-honored-as-orlandos-best-docs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/ucf-medical-faculty-physicians-honored-as-orlandos-best-docs\/","title":{"rendered":"8 166su Medical Faculty Physicians Honored as Orlando\u2019s Best Docs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eight College of Medicine faculty physicians \u2014 including seven who care for patients at 166su Health \u2014 have been named Top and Premier Doctors by <em>Orlando Magazine<\/em> for 2021.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s medical school physician awardees and their respective honors are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ucfhealth.com\/doctor\/abdo-asmar-m-d\/\">Abdo Asmar<\/a>, nephrology, Premier<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ucfhealth.com\/doctor\/shazia-beg-m-d\/\">Shazia Beg<\/a>, rheumatology, Top and Premier<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ucfhealth.com\/doctor\/neha-bhanusali-m-d\/\">Neha Bhanusali<\/a>, rheumatology, Top and Premier<\/li>\n<li>Diane Davey, pathology, Top<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ucfhealth.com\/doctor\/vladimir-neychev-m-d-ph-d\/\">Vladimir Neychev<\/a>, general surgery, Premier<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ucfhealth.com\/doctor\/joyce-ann-paulson-m-d\/\">Joyce Paulson<\/a>, internal medicine, Top and Premier<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ucfhealth.com\/doctor\/naveed-sami-m-d-faad\/\">Naveed Sami<\/a>, dermatology, Premier<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ucfhealth.com\/doctor\/david-weinstein-m-d-faad-facms\/\">David Weinstein<\/a>, dermatology, Premier<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Douglas Meuser, a sports medicine specialist at <a href=\"https:\/\/studenthealth.ucf.edu\">166su Student Health Services<\/a>, was also honored as a Top Doc.<\/p>\n<p>Awardees are nominated by their peers. The Top Doctors list is compiled by Consumers\u2019 CHECKBOOK, a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. The Premier Doctors list is a peer review study, conducted exclusively for Orlando Magazine by an independent research company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are grateful to the community for this honor,\u201d says Deborah German, UCF vice president for Health Affairs and dean of the College of Medicine. \u201cProviding extraordinary patient care to the community while we train the next generation of
