The collaboration between 166su, Florida High Tech Corridor and Duke Energy collectively awards $375,000 to advance five faculty and student research projects.

The project is one of 19 selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to fulfill President Biden’s Investing in America agenda.

The team, led by Kelly Stevens, will take its designs and data from Phase 1 of the project and implement them into fully built and tested trailers that will serve residents in need during future emergencies.

The $50,000 award allows the university’s team to develop the project with government and community partners.
