Jared Masucci, an Interdisciplinary Studies senior from Merritt Island, won the Mr. 166su competition. Masucci beat out 13 contestants vying for the title of Mr. 166su 2011. The event played to a full Pegasus Ballroom with a futuristic theme.
The men competed in a private interview, beach wear, talent, formal wear and answered an on-stage question. In addition to the contestants, the event was hosted by outgoing Mr. 166su 2010 Michael Newman and the current Miss 166su Sara York. The opening number featured the contestants who were joined by some of the Knight Moves dancers. York entertained the audience with her piano solo from Miss Florida.
Masucci will receive a scholarship from Student Government Association and the Alumni Association. Mr. 166su is funded through the Student Government Association under the auspices of the Spectacular Knights Committee of the Campus Activities Board.
